The Dream Team – My dream team consist of a rock star photographer that knows her stuff when it comes to capturing the brand of an entrepreneur. Also, your fashionable hair stylist that can keep you glam during those outfit changes. Up next is your go to make-up artist that will capture the very best in you. In addition, bring your assistant along and she can help you throughout the day. The assistant will help you during outfit changes, packing and unpacking all of your gear. Answer calls and emails while you are having fun. It was fun for me and my youngest son (an entrepreneur in the making), who was my assistant. He could not believe he was getting paid to do “fun work”. In between my needing him he kept himself entertained with YouTube video and recording me.

Dream outfits – The best way to find out what you want to wear is by pinning on Pinterest. Create a board with your ideal looks pick around six to seven; you will probably wear four to five different outfits during you photo shoot. Then check out the shops online and offline to get that perfect look. When you are out and about you can pull up your Pinterest board to refer back to exactly what you are looking for. Don’t forget about the overall look, including your jewelry, bags, and outerwear.

Ideal Location – Chose locations that match your personality. Look online at other photo shoots to get ideals of what you are looking to get out of the shoot. This is your vision, image what you would be using the pictures for and what message you want to come across to you audience. Also think about what poses you want to do and most of all have fun.

Must have items – During your photo shoot you may want to have props (your laptop, flowers in a vase, shopping bags are some ideals), a photo shoot emergency kit, and your Spanx. A few day before get your outfits ironed out and the day before pack all your outfits in a garment bag with your other essential items like shoes, make-up, jewelry, props and emergency kit (and anything else you will need) in a different bag.

Self-care – A week before your photo shoot take the time to get a facial. A few days later get your eyebrows done. Two days before the shoot get your manicure and pedicure; pick a polish that will complement all your outfits. The day before your shoot get a relaxing massage and eight hours of sleep. You will have a busy day and you want to be as relaxed and well rested as possible.  This is your day to shine and feel like a diva you deserve it.
